U.S. Army Special Forces completes peacekeeping and live fire exercises to Malawi Defense Force (MDF) soldiers

150 Malawi Defense Force (MDF) soldiers have completed two Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) conducted by two U.S. Army Special Forces teams.

The trainings were in preparation for deployment to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) later this year in support of the United Nations peacekeeping operations.

For two months, the soldiers have been trained on infantry tactics, operations planning, casualty evacuation, marksmanship, and participated in live fire exercises.

The United States highly values Malawi’s contributions to UN peacekeeping operations and regional stability efforts.
