Malawi independent presidential aspirant accepts defeat after getting 0.4%votes last month, “demonstration are pointless”

Reverend Kaliya says he respects the will of Malawians.

Kaliya has since condemned demos & violence by opposition parties saying that they are “pointless as the country already has a president.

Kaliya is asking MCP president Lazarus Chakwera & UTM party leader Saulos Chilima to “accept the defeat graciously” as he has done.

Kaliya has also thrown his weight behind MEC chairperson Justice Jane Ansah saying that she should not resign because “she is well versed with the law to be compromised”

Malawi may 21 elections have come under heavy criticism with opposition claiming that the elections were rigged and had lots of irregularities.

Opposition say their victory was stolen with the use of tippex and figures changed for rulling DPP.

Addressing party supporters re-elected president Peter mutharika said some of his votes were stolen in central region, a stronghold of opposition Malawi congress party MCP.

The opposition MCP and UTM of former malawi vice president Saulosi chilima are hoping on the count to rulify or recount may 21 elections.

Malawi constitution court is yet to start hearing The case later this month.
