Government has launched a four-year National Action Plan on Persons with Albinism which aims at arresting atrocities against persons with albinism and enhancing their social welfare.
The plan encompasses all aspects of a person’s life including education, health, safety and human rights.
It provides measures on civic education, administration of justice and support of victims of attack, and safety and security of persons with albinism.
Minister of Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare, Dr. Jean Kalilani launched the plan.
The roadmap is budgeted at K3.1 billion.
