Dear Brother in Service,

We, BRIGHTON VITA MALASA, by divine permission BISHOP OF UPPER SHIRE, With a heavy heart and prayerful thoughts over the matters of your involvement in inciting violence in the Diocese and bringing all the confusion the Diocese is in currently.

During the Bishop, Deans and Archdeacons meeting on Thursday the 21st day of March 2019 resolved to implement a disciplinary action on you and which includes to suspend you in the Holy Ministry of Word and Sacraments, pending hearing process which will commence soon.

We further resolved to appoint a special committee that will journey with you during this disciplinary action.

You will be invited to appear before the committee and defend yourself in view of the spirit of natural justice.

Following what has been going in the Diocese it is the opinion of the Church leadership that Canon 24 was violated big time by your action, word and in some cases writings.

The Anglican Church is a disciplinary and orderly Church as you may know through your formation and the vows we take voluntarily during the gift of ordinations.

The Registrar and Chancellor will soon charge you accordingly.

The suspension will be served on No Stipend basis as you are aware that stipends are only paid from the fact that Diocesan Quotas are remitted from the Parish/Institutions you are serving to the Diocesan Headquarters as per our system, which may not be the case now.

The Diocese will move you out of your current place of work soon.

We therefore respectfully request you to advise the Diocesan Secretary on 0997786900 on where you want to stay as you serve this suspension and time of reflection and disciplinary process.

We pray that you will deal with this matter positively and treat this letter as having been written in full manifestation of great love for you from all of us from the Anglican Diocese of Upper Shire.

Yours in His Service,

The Right Rev’d Brighton Vitta Malasa, MAM, OSF
