Assemblies of God pastor robbed 8 cobs of maize in lilongwe, “suspect in police custody”

Two security guards were arrested and spent night in police custody for stealing 8 cobs of maize from pastor’s garden.

Pastor Cornelius Nselema of the Assemblies of God in Area 47 handed over two Security Guards to Area 18 Police for allegedly stealing eight (8) cobs of maize, valued at MK800.00.

The two security guards of MM Security Services provide community security services in Area 47.

Pastor Nselema says the two security guards should remain in custody and should be tried in a court of law.

While sympathizing with the Nselema family on the theft of their eight (8) cobs of maize, some community members feel the action taken by the Pastor is so harsh and not befitting a respected man of God who should preach forgiveness at all times.

It remains to be seen how long the security guards will stay in custody.
